There is no denying that Camila Cabello has been called our for her problematic past. The former Fifth Harmony lead singer is making it harder for people to look beyond her past racist posts. Many people, especially on Twitter, called out Cabello for “black fishing” being present with her dancers.
One of Camila Cabello’s dancers, who is a white male, had an horrendous spray tan on. People believed that this spray tan was done purposely to make him look like a black person. After a mass amount of hate on social media, Camilla Cabello decided to speak out on Twitter.
“hey! so this dude was just supposed to be a white man with a terrible spray tan. we purposefully tried to pull together a multicultural group of performers, the expectation was not that everyone in the performance needed to be Latin. There are white people, African American people, latin people, and etc.”
A user on Twitter called out Camilla Cabello’s dancer for using an emoji resembling a black woman.
Even though I personally do not think the dancer was black fishing, I can admit that the spray tan was just awfully done. People on social media love to misuse terms on social media without doing the proper research. I know that Cabello has a racist background, but people have to study definitions of words more often.
