- Wear Braids/ Protective Styles
To clarify the rumors, braids hurt a lot! Braids will hurt depending on which style you get. For example, box braids and corn rows. Braids will only hurt the first day or two you get them. It also depends on who does your braids as well ! Braids help retain moisture in your hair and speed up the growth process. Protective styles will be your best friend having natural hair. Protective styles help prevent breakage and helps maintain your hair. Another protective style for natural hair is twists and buns.
2. Cut dead ends
Cutting dead ends is important for everyone. Having dead ends is just not a good look at all. Having dead ends will make your hair look frizzy and not maintained. When you cut your dead ends, your hair will grow back way faster. When you don’t cut your dead ends over a period of time, you are going to cut more hair than you really need to.

All products are not good for natural hair ! Many products include alcohol and chemicals in it that dry out the hair. Natural hair companies that I suggest investing in is Mane Choice, Shea Moisture, and Miss Jessie’s. These brands have no chemicals in their products. Also, their products are very moisturizing for the hair .
