Iggy Azalea made Youtube history with her breakout hit “Fancy”, but it seems that the platform is not feeling Azalea’s new music.
Since the Australian rapper is now indie, Iggy Azalea is responsible for directing her own music videos and funding 100% of her upcoming projects. Iggy Azalea released her latest single “Sip It,” followed by a music video. According to Azalea, Youtube refuses to put it on their trending videos chart. The main reason why the “Fancy” rapper music video for “Sip It” is blocked is due to “the content in the video.”
Many people were puzzled on Twitter as to why Iggy Azalea’s music video was blocked. There are countless music videos on Youtube that are explicit that are trend on Youtube.
Iggy Azalea contacted Youtube a week prior to the launch of her music video, and she was allegedly told that “it was perfect, no issues.” The music video for “Sip It” has still not been added to Youtube’s trending videos list.
Azalea did not stop about at discussing about the mistreatment with Youtube. She went on to discuss about the Grammy’s being rigged. Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande have called out the Grammy’s for not being fair with awards and nominations.
Iggy Azalea announced that her album is releasing this summer, and it will be called “end of an era.”
