It looks like James Charles can not escape from his dark past on social media.
In March, James Charles was accused of sexting minors on Snapchat. According to more than three alleged victims, Charles would use his followers to send explicit photos and messages to minors. Furthermore, it is alleged that Charles sent money to someone for explicit content.
It is unclear if the situation is being legally investigated, but it look’s like Morphe had enough of the beauty guru. Morphe announced on Twitter that the company would no longer be working with James Charles.
“In age light of recent allegations against James Charles, Morphe and James have agreed to end our business relationship and wind down sales of the Morphe x James Charles product offering. It is and has always been Morphe’s goal to create a positive, safe, and empowering space where all beauty lovers can freely share their artistry and passion for cosmetics, and Morphe is committed to furthering that goal.”
In 2019, James Charles made beauty history by releasing a palette with Morphe. The James Charles x Morphe collection would be one of the most in demand makeup palette’s in 2019 and beyond.
Many people have mixed feelings about James Charles since the minors he talked to fabricated about their age. In my opinion, all popular influencers need to do a background check on their romantic interests. Being lied to sucks, but protecting your brand is more important.
James Charles has also been demonetized on Youtube. Even though the guru’s Youtube check will take a pause, his following has not taken a toll yet. Charles still has over 25 million subscribers averaging two million views per video.
