Maddie Ziegler became a household name when she appeared on Dance Moms at eight years old. After leaving the reality TV show in season six, Ziegler went on to appear in movies, dance with Sia, release her own book, and even have her own makeup collection with Morphe.
Due to “cancel culture” becoming a trend in 2020, many miserable people on social media will bring up your past to make you look bad. On Twitter, many people posted videos of Maddie Ziegler saying the N word at nine years old, her making fun of Asian people(tone of voice and facial features), and her making a joke of transgender women transitioning.
Here is what Maddie Ziegler said about transgender women.
In my opinion, your past will always be apart of your life, no matter how much your try to erase your past. Even though Maddie Ziegler’s actions were not right at all, she is a very great role model to young kids around the world. With cancel culture becoming a trend, a person needs to admit their wrongdoings and apologize. I will not bring age into this situation, but I will bring up her environment that may have affected her to do the things she did.
