I styled four awesome girls from a nonprofit organization for back to school season. As a lover of fashion, I believe that you always need a new fresh outfit for back to school. Flight 23 at Foot Action had amazing selections for me to pick to style my clients for the day. The variety of apparel at Flight 23 is totally awesome.

When I styled my clients for the day, I started with the shoe. The shoe is the nucleus of your outfit. Most people base their outfit of the day from the shoes that they are wearing. There were over fifty shoes to pick from for back to school season at Flight 23. If you don’t pair your shoes with your outfit correctly, take it off ! I asked my clients many questions to know what their style is like. I asked them the following questions.

  • What is your favorite color?
  • Is your style laid back or flashy ?
  • Do you want shoes that you can wear everyday ?

Even though I styled my clients, it is important for them to approve what they are wearing. Once I finished picking out the shoes, I moved on to the pants, sweaters, shirts, leggings, and shorts. Long story short, one of my clients did not like any of the pants and shorts that were available at the store. I’m not going to lie, it was pretty funny. She reminded me of when I’m at the store and my mom tries to pick me out an outfit. I never want someone to feel uncomfortable and wear something they do not want to. For this client, I styled her with a stylish hoodie and the Air Jordan 13 retro’s.

To conclude, I had a great time styling. Even though I only had thirty minutes to style each client, it was an amazing experience. One of my clients stepped out of her comfort zone and wore colors that weren’t black. Black is a great color to wear, but sometimes you have to try new things. For my other two clients, their look was more of a look that was matched together. The shoes, hoodies, and pants all matched together so well !

The back to school event also included free hair cuts, express manicures, and school supplies.
