As being a native New Jerseyan, I always represent the beautiful state that I am from. The diversity, food, shopping, and the ultimate experience in New Jersey can not be explained. You can find many delicious restaurants in the Garden State, but sometimes you just want to try something new. Once in the blue, I might crave an açaí bowl instead of a greasy mozzarella pizza.
When I was invited to visit True Food Kitchen in New Jersey, I was super excited and questionable. I immediately did my research about the health food franchise. I don’t know if it is just me, but I need to see pictures of food. Will the food presentable or just straight up not digestible?
One thing that automatically stood out to me about True Food Kitchen was the spectacular customer service. Once I walked into the Hackensack location , I felt a wave of positive vibrations from the staff. Due to Covid-19, many businesses lost touch with the power of customer service. True Food Kitchen truly knows the power of customer service during the age of social media.
While walking to my seat, I noticed that the interior design of the location was breath taking. Plants hanging from the walls, eye catching art, and vivid colors grabbed my attention. Even though the health food restaurant looked amazing, it was time to test if the food matched the scenery.
As a starter, I ordered the Edamame Dumplings. As I am currently typing this article, I regret not stuffing them in my mouth right now. These vegetarian dumplings are made from asian herbs, dashi, and white truffle oil. If you want to order a lightweight starter, these dumplings are the way to go.
Like I mentioned before, I looked at True Food Kitchen’s social media prior to my visit. I saw a particular salad that caught me eye, and it is called the “Good Earth Kale Cobb.” I am a huge fans of salads, and I needed to try to this one out ASAP. The presentation of the kale salad was Pinterest worthy, and it dish tasted like Heaven in my mouth. I have never had a salad that tasted more delicious than this particular salad. I ordered chicken with my kale salad, and I was happy that it did not taste dry. Let’s just say that other salad’s I have consumed have some serious competition. Furthermore, I ordered salmon at True Food Kitchen. The seasonings, spices, and the presentation was spectacular.
