Addison Rae is a 19 year old Tiktoker, with over 50 million followers, who has recently been accused of being racist and black fishing on social media.
A lot of people started to call out Addison on twitter about her past actions. In 2016, Addison retweeted a link about Black Lives Matter being a cult.
In addition, a video of Addison Rae went viral that apparently made it seem that she told her friend to say the N word.
Rae’s friend Kio, another popular Tiktoker, came to her defense and stated on Instagram, “She said “did you say” lmao”.
Lastly, Addison Rae has been accused of “blackfishing”. Blackfishing is a new term that became popular on social media. According to Urban Dictionary, blackfishing means “the general point of blackfishing is for a female of European descent to appear of African, Arab, or Hispanic ancestry.”
Addison Rae has not yet made a comment about the situation.
