Victoria’s Secret Makes History With It’s First Ever Plus Size Model

Victoria’s Secret faced a lot of backlash from customers around the world saying that there is a lack of diversity in their campaigns. The ratings for the past five Victoria’s Secret fashion shows has declined by the minute. I guess the lingerie brand finally realized that they needed to open their eyes for diversity. Who is the plus size model you may ask ? The first ever plus size model for Victoria’s Secret is Ali Tate.

Victoria’s Secret decided to partner with Bluebella to feature models of all shapes. Bluebella is founded by Emily Bendell. The new Bluebella and Victoria’s Secret collection also featured transgender model, Ali Tate. Bluebella is the brand that is all about diversity and self love.

Victoria’s Secret was under a lot of pressure due to the former CEO, Ed Razek. Razek told Vogue Magazine that he will never use transgender and plus size models in the VS Fashion Show.
