DaBaby recently taught a group of kids that honesty is key.
DaBaby tends to go viral for either his music or his life outside of it. The headlines this week would have been different this week if a group of kids did not lie about the price of Skittle’s.
The North Caroline native rapper decided to stop and purchase candy from two teens. One teen, holding the Skittle box, told DaBaby that the total would cost two hundred dollars. This would not be shocking if the teen was holding a bigger box, but it looks like he actually lied.
When DaBaby asked about the price of Skittles, he was told that they were two dollars each. Once he heard the price of $200, DaBaby automatically asked how many Skittle’s he truly had. Once the teen admitted that he only had 34 skittles in the box, him and his partner were handed four dollars.
“You gotta use your head man. I was going to b less you anyway. You already got the $200 now you got two dollars.” The teens walked away smiling, but was this lesson deserved to be taught?
Looking beyond the video, people have to think that DaBaby most likely would have given the teens more money. If the teen told the rapper that the box was only $68, they would have most likely received more money from DaBaby.
DaBaby was in the right in this situation, and he had every right to question how much the Skittles were going to cause. No matter how many people will get mad at the rapper, $68 should not magically turn into $200.
