The Jue Lan Club becomes another New York City staple that closed its doors.
Jue Lan made its mark in 2015 when it opened inside the former Limelight building. The restaurant quickly garnered customers with its aesthetic designs, bold art designs, and delicious food similar to Philippe Chow and Mr. Chow’s.
With upscale dining, and an affordable lunch special menu, the restaurant developed a loyal fanbase. The restaurant even became the go-to hot spot for celebrities including 50 Cent, Kevin Durant, Cardi B, and more. Surviving COVID-19, many people would have never expected the Manhattan restaurant to close.
In 2025, social media started to whisper that Jue Lan allegedly had a mice and rodent problem. In 2025, the upscale Chinese restaurant had over 25 violations from the New York City health department. Claims includes evidence of mice and proper certificates not being in place by management.
On Jue Lan’s social media, they has not made an official post about their closure. Many customers even claimed they arrived to the restaurant, with chains on the door, with no announcement regarding closure. It could be suspected that the restaurant closed right after NYC restaurant week in July.
As of this time, there is no confirmation if Jue Lan Club(@juelankitchen) will be moving to another location.
